Description
This gear selector will cause problems preventing selection of any forward or reverse gears
until the ignition is cycled. The gear selector position will not be recognised on the gear
display or will show incorrectly. If the vehicle is in gear when the gear selector module fails
you will find that you are not able to select park (P), again until the ignition is cycled.
There will be no warning lights when the gear selector lever fails but there will be fault codes
stored, scanning the vehicle with diagnostic tools will reveal these as selector lever position
detection failed and CAN signal selector lever position
